Earwig Corner changes: 'why weren't people informed?'

22 November 2020

Green Party councillors Adrian Ross and Johnny Denis have received a lot of queries about the work planned for the Earwig Corner junction where the B2192 Ringmer Road joins the A26.

Adrian says, 'Most people know that 'improvements' to this junction have been in the pipeline for a decade, but few seem to be aware that the designs have now been agreed and work will start next year.

'The new layout will have traffic lights and an extra lane, and no right turn from the 2192 to the A26 towards Uckfield.

'I think it's appalling that East Sussex County Council has failed to engage and communicate properly with the residents that will be most affected by these changes.

'Johnny said: 'We've written a more detailed article about the changes on our website - click here to read more. We hope it will answer most people's questions about the changes.'
