Lewes District Green Party

Lewes District Green Party's 2015 general election candidate is Alfie Stirling, whom you can follow and contact on Twitter: @alfie_stirling.

The party is represented on Lewes Town Council with three Councillors: Susan Murray and Roger Murray (Castle Ward) and Ashley Price (Priory Ward).  We also have a Councillor, Johnny Denis, on Glynde & Beddingham Parish Council.

In just one year (2014-2015), our membership has tripled, reflecting the huge surge in support for the Green Party across the UK.

In the May 2011 Local Elections the Lewes District Green Party increased their seats on Lewes Town Council.

The priority for the Green Party is to reform Town Council (which includes greater public communication, accessibility and interest in Town Council matters) and to meet its pre-election community pledges.

The Greens were 23 votes away from securing its first Lewes District Council seat in Lewes Bridge Ward and 44 votes away in Castle (May 2011 Local Elections), proving that Lewes Green Party is THE opposition to the Liberal Democrats.

Based on the positive, fair, environmental and social policies of the Green Party, many local residents are joining and campaigning on behalf of the party and the communities that it represents. If you would like to join or just support the party, please visit the Join the Green Party page or you contact the Party and your Councillors via the Contact Us page.

Thanks for your support!
